Understanding the various filtering options to use in your search criteria

The search filters can be used in conjunction with a key word in the search field or on their own. More than one search criteria can be selected in a search.

Asset Sector: Search at the asset, sector, and sub-sector options, to drill down as far into the product universe as you require. Click here to learn about searching across all sub-sectors

Rating: If you would like to only view Lonsec recommended products, or any other rating, tick the appropriate box(es) in this section.

Biometrics: additional ratings from Lonsec which can be used in conjunction with traditional investment ratings to determine investor suitability and the appropriate and safe use of financial products. 

Product Group: A quick link to search for previously saved product groups: these can be personal product groups or, dependent on your subscription type, a company product group such as your licensees APL.

Type the name of the product group in the search box or click on the field for a drop down menu of your saved product groups to appear. You can select multiple product groups.

Platform: Restrict your search results to just those funds available on a certain platform.

Type the name of the platform in the search box or click on the field for a drop down menu of platforms available in iRate. You can select multiple platforms.

Portfolio: select one of your saved portfolios from this section. You can select multiple portfolios. 

Note: Dependent on your subscription type you may not have access to the Portfolio Construction tool in iRate and therefore have no funds to access via this search option

Investment Structure: select from the drop down list to restrict your search to a particular type of product. The options include SMA and Direct Assets.

Investor Size: this box allows you to choose between Wholesale and Retail funds, or both.

Sort Order: this feature allows you to decide the order you want the results to display. The default is by Product Name in ascending order. You could though, for example, select by Rating in Ascending Order.
