Super Funds: How are ratings assigned?

The rating is assigned at the product level and will cascade down to the investment options.

For example, REST Super has a Platinum rating and all investment options under this have the same Platinum rating applied.

SuperRatings reviews each product on six key criteria and there are key components which are reviewed within each of these. For example the Investment Assessment will cover Performance, Variety of Options and Process. Different weightings are assigned to each of these and are combined to provide the overall component rating, e.g. Excellent.

It is therefore possible for different products to have an overall component rating which is different when they have received similar ratings for the underlying areas reviewed, as shown in the example below.
