What is an ICR?

Many funds will quote an ICR (Indirect Cost Ratio).

This ratio represents the total costs of managing a fund plus any indirect costs such as performance fees.

This ratio is expressed as a percentage and calculated by summing the total costs and dividing them by the average net assets of the fund.

Any quoted ICR will be backward looking as performance fees cannot be calculated in a forward-looking manner.
